CSI Pacific Athlete Ambassador Program
In partnership with viaSport BC & supported by the Regional Sport Alliance
The CSI Pacific Athlete Ambassador Program aims to develop and support a diverse cohort of athletes who embody and activate the True Sport Principles across their communities. Through values-based leadership, mentorship, and storytelling, the program seeks to:
- Empower Athlete Leaders
- Promote Value-Based Sport
- Foster Growth & Community Connection
- Showcase Diversity in Sport
- Support Alumni & Legacy
Program Overview
The Athlete Ambassador Program runs for 12 months from January 2026 to December 2026, bringing together a cohort of 12 ambassadors – 4 Game Plan Athlete Ambassadors and 8 PlaySafe Athlete Ambassadors. The program is delivered across British Columbia, through 8 Regional Sport Alliance centers and begins with an in-person onboarding session, followed by ongoing mentorship and workshops to support leadership development.
Throughout the year, ambassadors engage in community events, presentations, and storytelling campaigns, while being regularly featured on CSI Pacific’s social media channels to showcase their impact and journey.

Game Plan Athlete Ambassador
The CSI Pacific Game Plan Athlete Ambassador Program empowers national-level athletes to step into leadership roles as mentors and role models for the next generation. Ambassadors champion values-based sport, promote safe and inclusive environments, and share their lived experiences to inspire athletes across their communities.
PlaySafe Athlete Ambassador
The PlaySafe Athlete Ambassador Program empowers emerging provincial-level athletes to lead with values, promote safe and inclusive sport, and amplify the impact of True Sport and PlaySafe within their communities.

PlaySafe Athlete Ambassador
For emerging provincial-level athletes who want to lead with values, promote safe and inclusive sport, and inspire others through storytelling, mentorship, and community engagement.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
Be an active provincial-level athlete (training and/or competing)
Be in good standing with a Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) or Disability Sport Organization (DSO)
Compete in a viaSport-accredited sport
Have completed Safe Sport training (UCCMS-aligned)
Demonstrate a commitment to leadership, mentorship, and community involvement
Criteria
Athlete Ambassadors are expected to:
Attend onboarding training
Deliver one values-based presentation within their community
Submit quarterly blogs or social posts
Represent CSI Pacific at events and community activations
Participate in two focus groups (viaSport & CSI Pacific)
Take part in two mentorship check-ins with Game Plan Ambassador mentor
Conduct two partner visits to thank our supporters and partner
Uphold CSI Pacific values of Excellence, Leadership, Innovation, and Integrity

Game Plan Ambassador
The Game Plan Ambassador Program empowers national-level athletes to step into leadership roles as mentors and role models. Ambassadors champion values-based sport, promote safe and inclusive environments, and share their lived experiences to inspire athletes across their communities. Through leadership training, storytelling, and outreach, they contribute to a growing network of leaders fostering integrity, inclusion, and excellence in sport across British Columbia.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
Be an active national-level athlete in good standing with an National Sport Organization (NSO), PSO, or DSO
Compete in a viaSport-accredited sport
Have completed Safe Sport training (UCCMS-aligned)
- Demonstrate a commitment to leadership, mentorship, and community involvement
(Preferred: experience at BC Games, Canada Games, or demonstrated community leadership)
Criteria
Game Plan Ambassadors will:
Attend onboarding training
Deliver 4 values-based presentations across community, provincial, or national contexts
Participate in 2 focus groups (viaSport & CSI Pacific)
Mentor 2 Regional Ambassadors, leading at least 2 meetings each
Complete 4 partner visits to thank and engage supporters
Uphold CSI Pacific values of Excellence, Leadership, Innovation, and Integrity
Honorarium: $2,000 total
$1,000 upon completing onboarding
$1,000 upon completing program deliverables
