Hi, I’m Samuel Peters, a para alpine skier from Kelowna, BC. I started adaptive sit-skiing at Big White, and since then my journey has taken me from Powderhounds to FIS podiums, my World Cup debut, and the Canadian National Para Alpine Ski Team.
This season has looked different because of injury, but I’m using the time to recover, keep creating, and stay connected to the sport through photography, video, and storytelling.
For me, PlaySafe is about community, commitment, and giving back to the adaptive snow sport environment that helped me grow. My goal is to keep progressing, keep creating, and keep chasing the dream of representing Canada on the world stage.
Ambassador Socials
For my February feature month, I created a short social series to share what PlaySafe means to me and why safe sport matters at every level.
In Episode 1: Safety Builds Strength, I talk about how feeling safe and supported helps athletes build confidence, trust, and resilience.
In Episode 2: Beyond Safety: Creating a Culture of Respect in Sport, I look at how safe sport is not just about avoiding harm. It is about creating an environment where athletes feel valued, respected, and able to grow.
In Episode 3: Speaking Up in Sport, I focus on the importance of using your voice, asking for help, and knowing that speaking up can make sport better for everyone.
These videos are important to me because sport has given me so much and I want to help create spaces where athletes feel supported, included and confident to keep pursuing their goals.
