Favorite sport memory or achievement:
Having my family present at the 2023 World Championships in Glasgow. It was a huge event with all cycling disciplines combined, able bodied and para alike. My dad was there but also, I had a lot of family in England who travelled to watch me, some of whom I hadn’t seen in 4 years. It was amazing knowing they were in the stands and that I could bring 3 medals while they were.
Who is someone who has positively impacted your sport career?
My first cycling coach, Kurt Innes. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have found a passion in a second sport. He was imperative in developing me as a young cyclist and when I made the eventual switch to cycling from alpine skiing years later, he was there to guide me to a place on the Canadian Team.
What are your hobbies or passion outside of sport?
I enjoy walks especially by the ocean with my dog—I also occasionally participate in dog agility with her and though I haven’t done much recently, I do enjoy creative writing. I am also interested in keeping the Paralympic movement on the rise and it’s something I can see myself committed to after sport too.
