Canadian Sport Institute Pacific (CSI Pacific) is pleased to announce a partnership renewal with YYOGA in Vancouver and Whistler. YYOGA has been supporting BC’s high performance athletes through their partnership with CSI Pacific since 2009. CSI Pacific is privileged to work with community partners who help athletes and coaches in the pursuit of high performance sport achievement.
YYOGA is a Canadian yoga and fitness studio with locations in both British Columbia and Ontario. They have been a long-standing community partner, coming on board in June of 2009. YYOGA offers Canadian Elite & Podium athletes an allotment of complimentary classes and passes, as well as a community partner rate on additional purchases. Provincial Development and Canadian Development athletes, along with registered coaches, are also eligible for a community partner rate.

“We are very excited to continue to grow our partnership with Canadian Sport Institute Pacific,” says YYOGA President Carey Dillen. “YYOGA is proud to provide the caliber of yoga, fitness, and meditation that meet the needs of today’s elite Canadian athletes.”
CSI Pacific Athlete Services Lead Drew Todd agrees: “YYOGA has been supporting Canada’s top athletes as a Canadian Sport Institute Pacific community partner for close to a decade, and we are thrilled to renew the partnership with such an upstanding organization,” states Todd. “The service and benefit they provide is crucial for the development of elite athletes – not only for the reason yoga compliments their daily training, but also for the removal of a financial barrier most athletes have to deal with. Supporting partnerships with companies such as YYOGA can make a massive difference in an athlete’s development, and ultimately, contribute to Canada winning medals.”
The critical component of the partnerships that Canadian Sport Institute Pacific has is that it has tangible impact for its registered athletes and coaches. YYOGA’s partnership has fit that bill since it began almost a decade ago.

“The vast majority of sports create a fairly decisive imbalance in the body. In field hockey we work all day winding up the muscles on our right, and extending the left. Yoga has helped me correct and manage these imbalances, helping me find mobility in areas I need it, and strength and stability where necessary,” notes Shanlee Johnston, a player on Canadian women’s field hockey team “There are so many physical benefits, but I don’t want to brush over how important mindfulness is, and sometimes that’s all I need.”
YYOGA strives to create communities for health and wellness where everyone is welcome, supported and inspired to grow. YYOGA has 12 studios across Canada, including their Vancouver and Whistler locations with which CSI Pacific has a partnership with.

CSI Pacific has over 30 Community and FoodStuff™ partners as well as over 90 GymWorks™ partners supporting athletes and coaches throughout their 3 campuses.
