The next intake of coaches in the program is set for the 2017 Fall semester beginning in September. Applications will be received from April 2017 up until June 30th, 2017.

A $75.00, one-time, non-refundable application fee is required. If the candidate is successfully admitted into the program, the application fee will be applied to the first semester tuition. The application fee can also be applied to future applications if the candidate’s entry into the program is unsuccessful, or if enrollment intake is delayed.

Program Prerequisites

Entry into the Advanced Coaching Diploma program requires that candidates have:

  • National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) accreditation in Competition-Development (former Level 3) or equivalent. [NCCP Transcript]
  • 3 years demonstrated coaching experience as a Head or Assistant Coach in a full-time year round program. [Letter of Intent and Coaching Resume]
  • Signed MOU from National Sport Organization (NSO), or Provincial Sport Organization (PSO). [Letter of Endorsement] Download template here.

Coaches must submit a letter of intent and a recent coaching resume with their application. An MOU for NSO/PSO endorsement can be downloaded above or during the application process and the Institute will help coaches to identify means to have the MOU completed.


The full cost of the diploma is $3500.00 for Canadian students. Tuition is paid in installments based on your delivery option.

  • Two year part-time: four installments of $875.00, due at the beginning of each semester (September and April of each year)

A number of Grants and Bursaries may be available.
